Union Sports Minister Mansukh Mandaviya has strongly condemned the remarks made by Congress spokesperson Shama Mohamed regarding Indian cricket captain Rohit Sharma’s fitness, labeling them as "outright pathetic." The comments came after Shama Mohamed made statements that some considered as "body shaming" of Rohit Sharma, which sparked controversy across the country.

Mandaviya urged political parties to stay out of the professional lives of athletes, emphasizing that their efforts and dedication should be respected. He called for an end to unnecessary criticisms of athletes, highlighting that they represent the nation with hard work and commitment.
